PowerShell provider for BizTalk – Work with host instances

The provider contains a couple of features which allow you to work with host instances.

First browse to host instances:

Screen shot 1: Browse to host instances using Set-Location and Get-ChildItems cmdlets. Notice the ‘Process Id’ column which allows you to link the host instance the windows process id. This is very handy when you want to debug BizTalk stuff in Visual Studio and have more than host instance.

Screen shot 2: This shot shows how to stop all host instances in a single statement by using the PowerShell pipeline mechanism.

Screen shot 3: Here we start a host instance by using the host name as input parameter.
